ThePlaymaker first gained prominence in the late 90’s early 2000’s as head of marketing and promotions for Tone Struck records (Lee Ford) and Sheppard Lane Records (Stan Sheppard / Tony Lane) spear heading promotional campaigns for Madd Nation, DJ Quik, Suga Free, DJ Battlecat, Kokane, and the late Mausberg (The artist and projects that he promoted has sold a staggering 24 million units worldwide from 1996 to 2017 ). When major record companies started to shy away from street promotions and more towards the internet for marketing around 2010 ThePlaymaker stayed consistent and committed to street team work until this present day which makes him one of the most sought after street team promoters in the music industry.
